Sounds awesome. You have a thread on here showing it off?

And I got a new poster to put by my shrimp rack.

No...I've had so many tanks and different types of fish over the years but aquascaping is my nemesis in this hobby. I just posted a pic here looking for advice.

I know what you mean. I don't have the patience to keep it primmed and trimmed. I'll do water changes and clean the algae off the sides but that's about it. Lol. The plants can grow as much as they like.

Your tanks look awesome! I have two shrimp tanks currently. I'm receiving an order of sea sky blue shrimp tomorrow from Mr. Bauer at shrimpUSA! Would you mind posting some pictures of your opae ula shrimp? I have been wanting to start a tank and order some. Are you using a brackish setup? ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1421035698.023495.jpg

I will on this thread soon! And it is brackish. And that's awesome! That's where my Carbon Rilis came from. I ordered 6 and got 13. Lol. You should join the FB group "USA Freshwater Shrimp and Plants." There's tons of good info, pictures and breeders there.

The cholla took about two days. Just let it soak full or water. The banana leaves you can either use something to hold them at the bottom or you can let them sink naturally. Which takes about 3 days. But you wanna make sure that once one side gets waterlogged you flip it and let the other side become waterlogged. That way the dry side won't keep it floating.

Great! Mine just came in the mail today so I was just wondering. Do you use alder cones as well?

Yeah I do! They're the same as well. To speed things up I put em in a tumbler of water and shake em so they sink faster.
