What kind of light do you have on your carbon Rili tank? I have a finnix fugeray planted plus on my 30g community tank, but I only have white leds on my shrimp tanks. I use flourish excel but my plants don't grow very well. Also, where did you get your opae ula shrimp from? And what size tank do you have them in? Does it have a filter?

It's the light that came with the Fluval Ebi tank. It's the fluval brand and it's a 13w fluorescent. I have a the finnex fugeray planted plus also. It grows algae very well. Lol. In my tanks I use excel, flourish, API leafzone and diy co2. However in the rili tank I stopped all that before I added shrimp so they could acclimate easier. I've just started using the flourish in their tank again. And the Opae'Ula are from shrimpmart.bigcartel.com. They have good prices. And they're in a 1.5 gallon with only an air stone. Its hard to use a filter on something that small and I'm thinking about upgrading just so I can use a filter.
And you probably want some nerite snails also. That website sells them that are already acclimated to brackish water. They do great with algae. I used aragonite for the bottom and volcano rock from Lowes. I boiled it and let it soak while I cycled the tank. Probably boiled it 10 times. If you didn't wanna risk that there's some sellers that have volcanic rock just for tanks. At about 10x the price.
