Wow I feel dumb, I've been doing nitrate test wrong. Now that I did it right its ammo 0, rites 0, and rates like 80-160

So once I do a water change to get the rates down am I good to start stocking?

You may have to do an extremely large pwc or a couple smaller ones...

Ya I'll do a big one then see what its at and do whatever else I need to get it down

But once its down I'm good right? Temp is 76-77, SG is 1.024

K so I have an update (been talking about it in another thread of mine)

So I got nitrates down to near nothing earlier today. Just now I got 5 little hermits and 5 snails for half off :) they're acclimating right now.
Fish list is now:
Black and white oscellaris
Orange oscellaris
Royal gramma
Yellow watchman goby
And maybe eventually one more really small fish but we'll see

Cool! I would recommend putting in some extra shells, to prevent the hermit crabs from killing each other or the snails when they grow. :)

Can I just buy them at lfs?

I'm starting to get some brown algae on a few of the rocks

I haven't been on in forever! But here's an update if anyones interested.

Tanks doing great. For fish I only have the 2 clowns. Corals include; 3 different zoas, a meteor shower cyphastrea, a green favia, braching hammer coral, and I just added an orange monti cap. I'll try to take some pictures real quick.

Very nice! i really like the hammer and the monti cap! I've been looking for the perfect red monti for my own tank, they are great corals. :)

Right now one head on the hammer seems to be splitting into two :) one of my favorite corals for sure. I've been looking for a good monti for a while now so im happy I found this tonight. Got a good deal too, that and another peice about half the size for $10. I'll probably grow the other half a little bigger then sell it. He also had a blue polyp monti cap I liked but the color wasn't as good.

I've read if you put two different colored montis together they can merge together and make a really cool coral. :) haven't tried it yet as I only have a huge green cap for now. I haven't seen phenomenal growth out of my hammer, but it has grown a new head or two so thats good news. They are just so awesome, I can't decide if I like the hammer, torch or frogspawn the best, but I like my flowy corals that's for sure. :)

+1, I have a torch, frogspawn and hammer and can't choose a favorite! I, like carey, like the stuff that sways in the current!

I'll be a clown fish in my next life ! LOL Love them corals, I could live just cuddling with them all day! What a life!
