Half Banded Spiny Eel Diet? No worms?

I am looking into a 30 gallon tank with one or two half banded spiny eel and a pair of German rams. I don't want to feed the eel live worms. I would prefer pellets, daphnia, brine shrimp or pretty much anything but worms. If i had to i could probably feed it frozen blood worms but i would prefer a substitute.

Kuhli loaches would be a better option if you want an eel like fish. They are small, social, and are not picky eaters

I think the eel would be fine but why no worms? What about starting him on frozen blood worms and weening him onto the other food like pellets?

I have kept kuli loaches in the past. As much as i like them i am set on spiny eels.

I don't paticularly like live worms because to tell you the truth it makes me feel bad for them. Also large masses of them kinda gross me out. I guess i'll look into frozen worms. Thanks for the help.
