Hmm that's weird to me I looks like it has the markings of a yellow lab then what is it?

Look up auratus... They are yellow, but if they are a female they they turn blue... But that could take weeks, so its probably just stressed.

Yup that looks more lime it thanks a lot I also have a small blue one that looks like that its about 2.5 Inches and the big one is about 4 Inches and they get all great but the big one doesn't really like so e of the other ones so now it makes sense. Thanks

You need to relocate those guys Unless you like watching cichlids tear each other to shreds. Those guys WILL kill every last fish in that tank...

Its most likely a auratus hybrid cause it looks off a bit

OK but if it still has the attitude of an auratus then its gonna be bad and do I take it too my LFS or I could probably sell it Idk what should I do?

Call your lfs, just say you got the wrong fish, and you would like to return it or get store credit. Rehome the peacock and just get more zebras or rusties or something

But ideally cichlids require a bigger tank than a 40 breeder, i would wait and get a bigger tank personally...
