My angel fish just laid their first batch of eggs. On a heater too.. I have other fish in there, are my angels going to kill my other fish? I have no idea what I'm doing..how do I know if they are fertilized? ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1422330496.686382.jpg

Well at least that answers your question of male or female. They should just chase anything that comes close to the eggs.

Just out of curiousity, could the heater kill the eggs if it heats up too much?

I have another angel in the tank yes. Sadly when the light turned off for the night I went over and checked 40 mins later and they were all gone. Lol ? that's normal tho I heard for them to eat the first couple?

Leave the lights off, after they lose a spawn the female can get all pissy and beat on dad.
