Microbe-Lift Special Blend

Has anyone ever used Microbe-Lift Special Blend?

Could this be used at the same time as Prime?

Yes, on an LFS recommendation. I do not know if it had any effect (it did not seem to hurt anything). The smell is horrible - shaking it makes it worse (though of course you should). It does go away once in the tank, but dispensing -- be prepared, it smells like an open sewer (so it must be good, right?).

Last three cycles I did not, and it seemed no slower nor faster.

I used it along with microbe lift nite out and cycled a 46 bow front tank in a couple days. Literally seemed to good to be true and kept expecting a cycle crash but it never happened. I've heard the effectiveness of it depends on factors like how long bottles have been sitting on shelf, temp where stored. Makes sense if you think about the mixed results people seem to have with it. I got mine from a small town retailer who I trust, not a big box store. It can't hurt anything so I'd definitely try it.

Oh and yes to using with prime. I did that too.
