I'm currently running 3x54w Hagen glo fixtures. 10,000k, Hagen lifeglo, 10,000k
I also have a marineland reef capable led if needed.

I prefer a more crisp white/blue tint, definitely not yellow. The lifeglo puts a yellowish tint but I have it sandwiched between the 10,000 k.

I'm sure there's a better combination to benefit plants and suite my eye.

I've seen references to the Giesemann bulbs. Please advise? Thanks in advance.

Typically, those with a blue tint aren't a good match with plants. Not always, but usually. I like giesemann bulbs. I use them on all my HO fixtures. I would get one aquaflora and two middays to keep it as white as possible.

I found the midday for $21 and aquaflora for $25. I'm gonna try it. Thanks!

Mfdrookie- I'm gonna give it a try. Just placed my order. Thanks for the response.

My new bulbs came today. I really like the midday 6000k. I'm placing midday/aquaflora/midday. Wish me luck.
