Here is my 30 gallon Congo tetra -n- Krib tank;



And the female with some of the tetras, the male currently won't come out of the cave, so I'm thinking he may be guarding some eggs;

Those are actually fake plants! I tried my best to find realistic plants and I guess I did a good job!

I have tried live plants though... It didn't really work out for me but I've heard of many people having success with them... I might try live again anyways though.
 
Ya I've seen great setups with live plants. I think the trick is setting up the plants before adding fish and adding small fish that grow up with the plants so they don't see them as a food source. Don't know, but I'll keep trying lol
 
Same here! I feed my cichlids lettuce and cucumber so they've gotten used to eating their veggies! When I try live plants it usually doesn't last long!!

Lol ya makes a great and usually expensive snack!
