An infamous batch of "Mixed African Cichlids (small)"

After much research and noted warnings, this 20g long had been running 2yrs as a low Ph, mopani wooded tank, with low light plants and assorted tetras. Rescaped in January with lots of 'hidey holes' and water replaced to work with our naturally hard water. Added a second 10-20g in-tank filter, plus the original seeded HOB Fluval 50. I stocked four weeks later with a batch of six fish, and added a 7th a few days later. So four weeks with this setup, there seemed to be a behavioral imbalance going on. I added six small Zebra Danio, and it seems to have added more movement and a pleasant schooling of the cichlids. They've doubled in size, 1" to 2". Intended as only a grow-out tank, I wanted to make sure I could handle this type of setup before investing in a more permanent one (and get rid of an unused piano!)

No inhabitants as yet. My first ever aquarium.

Be careful with those rocks stacked as they are. Cichlids can move huge amounts of sand and the last thing you want is one of your little guys getting crushed or worse the rock falling and cracking the bottom of your aquarium.
Thanks for the advice. The rocks on the bottom are sat firmly on the aquarium bottom so shouldnt move. I will have a shift around of some of the others and make sure they're all stable.
Thanks again Kyle

Yeah those bottom rocks are fine, its the top of the caves that worry me. You can use aquarium safe glue or silicone to attach them more permanently. If they have a good solid immoveable seat under them they will likely be fine without it.
