Hey everyone! I'm new here and sort of new to Cichlids. I had Cichlids once before and failed at them miserably. I'm giving them a second attempt at my new condo with 2x90 gallon tanks in my windows
I've recently added 4 small generic cichlids from the pet store to test the waters and see if they do alright. If they make it the week happy, I will be shopping for more fish.
Questions:
What are the brightest Cichlids available?
Am I able to mix Cichlids breeds?
Any other pointers would be nice as well![]()
That's sick! Where's all your filtration hiding and stuff? Bright cichlids would be types African cichlids like either the peacocks groups (males only - females are drab) or the mbuna groups. They need lots of filtration and loads of rock work and sand also. Makes a nice setup though. U need a good amount of them in the tank to curb aggression. Attached a pic of my 90. Another option would be to use each tank as a wet pet type of setup and have one biiiiiig cichlid in each like a female festae in one and a flowerhorn in the other. Start a thread in the cichlid section and ask away. Oh and keep pics of ur setup coming!
