hey everyone,

i have two sergeant major damsels and the smaller one turns to a total black when the bigger one is near it. they swim together all the time and one is not aggressive towards the other. i have a 150 gal tank w/ LR and thick sandbed. was just wondering if anyone knew why?

TIA,
Leo

This is a sign of stress from an aggressive fish... I had a few of them at one time that were 3 to 5". One of the smaller ones would turn almost completely black when the bugger ones would come near it... The only other thing it could be is, a female, and they are doing the courtship thing :D

hey timbo2,

don't think it's stress... hoping it's the courtship  lol... that will be cool.....

thanks a lot, appreciate your help...
