some kind of cyst on oranda tail

Hi there,

One of my oranda, a young blue goldfish, is showing some damage/kyst in the tail. I cannot figure out f its fin rot. The fish is now in a salted bath in a tank hospital. Also treated with a combination of malachite, quinidine and acriflafin.

The little one comes from the pond where he was introduced recently. Water parameters are all good (no ammonia/nitrites, low nitrates, PH=7.7) and all other fish are happy there.

Any idea about what this is? Thanks

Goldfish

It looks like it could be from fin rot or fin nipping. I have a mollie that has a little spot like that on her fin from nipping. I would say watch to see how the other fish get along.
