My heater broke and all my fish froze over the weekend :(.
Anyways I want bigger fish instead of a community of small fish.

They have to be able to coexist with plants and gravel.

Thanks! First post here

What sort of things do you like? there is the African butterfly fish. You need to be cautious about tankmates being too big to get eaten though. There are a handful of cool cichlids that would fit, maybe with a school of dither fish like giant danios or some such thing.
Golden Wonder killifish with tiger barbs. Angels. Pearl gouramis. Convict cichlids. Honduran red points. Laetacare thayeri. A few fancy goldfish.

Really liking the butterfly fish! And I forgot about tigers. Thanks!

Do you think a pair of convicts and 8 tiger barbs would work? Maybe a pleco or butterfly fish if i can also!

A lone cichlid would be nice depending on the species. An angelfish or Honduran red point would be a great option.

I wouldn't do a butterfly fish with con's personally. Keep in mind, con's do breed like crazy, so keep in mind ideas of what to do with fry. ☺
