If you decide to go with any of the aggressive central American cichlids I would limit the length to 12" if you want to try to get a pair or 14" for a wet pet.
4 feet doesn't leave much swim room for anything bigger other than doing circles. I have a 11" in a 4foot 55 and he hits the glass pretty hard when he wants to.

I change my mind daily but I'm leaning towards 6 angelfish 12 cory 20 cardinal tetra 20 rummy nose. Maybe something else. .dunno

IMO your tank is like mike said good for a wet pet or you could do much more with smaller fish.

I have a (umm well 2) 4' 120 gs.
Both salt but one holds only one fish(my wet pet).
He had a room mate for years but now alone he is best this way.
Big tank to have only one fish in!

Glad your taking your time and looking at all the options.
You will know when you see what want ...

The rummynose should be good, black neons get bigger than cards and reg neons. Something to consider. If you get the angels small and fatten the cards up fast it could work?? I've heard of it being done, not to say you may lose a few runts along the way.
