Well, something must be going on that is a good thing - NFP told me to dose 1/8 per ten gallons, not 1/4, so I did what they said (I know a lot of fish medical companies underdose, but I really don't want to fool with this stuff).
So this is day 2, tomorrow is day 3. He had a white powdery looking spot on him and it's totally gone. I wasn't sure if it was a scratch or an odd parasite. From what I can see there is not as many holes, but it's dark in there and he is cunning - he knows how to avoid light.
He's also having a field day because the tank is covered.. it's always dark. At least I know he isn't reacting to the meds!
It will be kept in for 5-7 days, so I will assess once it's done.
Really just posting this in case someone else has an issue. I hope it will help someone else.
I could see him recovering from this either way, since his diet is now even better than it was (VitaChem has been added and Thera+A) and I've nuked the possibility of any parasites with Crypto. I already know it is not water quality or stress. It's either diet or parasites.
