My yellow lab has he in head. My parameters are ph 8.0 amonia 0 temp 75. I did a 50 percent water change and put in some stress coat. Is there anything else I should do?

What are your nitrates at? How hard is your water?

Clean water, quality food, appropriate water for the fish and antibiotics are the typical ways to treat HITH.

I have never seen a yellow lab with HITH so I am not positive of the best way to treat that particular fish.

HITH is a parasitical condition found in angelfish and discus, so I doubt that's what it is. HLLE (head and lateral line erosion) is a possibility but most mbuna are not as highly susceptible to it as many of the larger South American and Central American species. Your water quality would have to have been quite terrible. A picture would help. If it's just small little pits on the head, then that's HLLE, if there's any blood or redness showing, or any fuzziness around it, or anything like that, it is something else
