Hi all,

I have a 75 gal set up in my main living space. We are going to be painting in the next two weeks and I would like to know how this will effect my fish? If it will affect adversely, how can I avoid it without taking the whole thing apart???

Any tips are greatly appreciated!!!

I would just cover the top of the tank with a sheet to keep splatter out of the water. I have painted around my tanks many times with no ill effects.

watch so the paint fumes do not get sucked in by the air pump

That is a good point though unless you are using oil based paint I wouldn't worry too much about it. If it is something that really concerns you, unplug your air pump and leave it unplugged until the pain is dry and you don't smell the paint.
