What is this

I think it's some kind of cichlid. I know the pic is bad.

Possibly a cichlid. My first thought from that silhouette was a sunfish of some sort, though. Ya really need a better pic for anything definite.

Yeah. My friend sent it to me and asked if it could go with her goldfish. I told her no.

I agree 100% on it looking like a sunfish.

Agree, I guess it could if the goldfish were big enough but idk for sure

I know the sunfish in my area are extremely aggressive. And known to take out oscars

I wouldnt put a sunfish in with goldfish, maybe if it were a pond or a very large tank. I think the sunfish would be too agressive for goldfish.
