There are signs of cyno in my tank again. I have battled it in the past and won, but it has come back for seconds. After testing the water quality, I believe that tap water may be the culprit. Ammonia = 0, Nitrites = 0, Nitrates = 0, PO4 = 0. The lights are on 9 hrs per day, and the fish are fed every other day. This leads me to believe that the cause is the use of tap water. I've used chemi-clean with success before, but I don't want to do it again. I haven't tested my tap water for PO4 before, but the water in the tank has 0. Is the difference between tap and RO/DI water going to be that significant as to stop the cyno?
