Eggcrate

Hi everyone,

I have quick (maybe silly - but I'm still kinda new! ) question. Now and then I notice people talk about eggcrate tops for their tanks. Could someone just explain it? Is it as simple as it sounds - replacing a true cover over a tank with a eggcrate type top that's more breathable?

Yup, easy to find and cheap too. You can find it in your HD lighting section.

In the HD lighting section - Go for the white stuff, not the nickle-plated stuff.

Sounds simple... but some folks buy the nickle because its shinier, and it always flakes off - particles then fall in the tank.

One of the best things I did for this hobby was get a HD card...
