Aquarium Advice Regular
I have a question about my Turbo Chestnut Snail. I saw this quote below...
If they have lungs instead of gills then do I need to leave a little space between the top of the water line and the top of the aquarium for them to climb up to breath? I mainly ask because my tank has a built in lip around the top that I usually fill the water line close to.
Many people do not know this, but most aquarium snails have lungs instead of gills. They actually breathe air, then take it down with them into the aquarium. They need to surface periodically to breathe.
