using carbon media in AC70 on 29g reef?

Just wondering if I should use the carbon media in my AC70 filter? It is a reef system, and right now I have 18.6lbs of LR in my 29g, I have no idea why I wouldn't use the carbon, but just wondering if it's beneficial or detrimental in any way?
