Where yo place filter media

I have a oceanic sump I was wondering where would be the best place to put the bags of filter media? I am running chemi-pure elite and purigen along with seachems phosgaurd I had them all placed in under my filter sick where the water flows in I just moved then in my return area next to the mag drive. I am wondering where the best placement world be for this?

I dont think it really matters as long as the water is flowing threw it. Where you had it at first is probably where 98% of people keep them

If just placing in a media bag in a sump, then a baffle tends to be the best spot as it will force more water to flow through the bag rather than around it.

I have mine in a baffle and it works amazing because ALL the water is forced through it.
