Are my snails mating or harming each other?

I have 3 snails in my tank and these two seem to hangout with each other often. i’ve tried sexing them and i believe they’re all 3 males.. but they keep riding on each other’s back. can’t tell if they’re being friendly or not..

Snails are hermaphrodites - they have both sexes in one body. There are no male or female snails. Any snail can mate with any other snail of the same species.

whaaaat really? that’s good to know! i’ll definitely have to keep an eye out for egg clutches.. like i said on my main post, i tried sexing them and it was super hard so i’m glad you guys are giving me great info

It's most likely you have more than one boy.

Hiii , i have 3 total ( blue , white & gold ). so you think i have 2 males and one female? it would make sense.. but i’ve seen both white and gold riding on the back of each other. and both of them on top of my blue one at times… i’m really not sure lol

Do you have a heater on in there? The female carrying eggs will hug the heater most of the day before going up to lay eggs at night. Then you'll know. Until then, you may have a *mystery* snail
