Best way to sterilize creek rocks

Course I'm a bit late on it now since you've already done the hard part but for future reference - after you get the rocks / stones home you can place them in a bucket of cool water, add 1tablesppon white vinegar and watch. If it fizzes it'll mess with your ph if it doesn't your good to go

Hmm...I can't even get vinegar to fizz when applied directly to texas holey rock....lol. Maybe that would work with muriatic acid though (which I don't happen to have on hand).

yes the boiling is good, thats what i do. i also scrub them off before and they are all good. just be careful because i hear that some rocks can cause a rise in pH
