I have 1 male and 2 female bettas, 3 ghost shrimp, and one snail all in one 10gal tank. Should I not do this? Or are they okay? I wasn't sure because my first betta passed away yesterday. He was already a bit pale before but I wasn't sure what was wrong. By the time I was about to take him to petsmart to get looked at, he was dead. Can anyone help me?

... The bettas all together could be a problem. I was told even males and females shouldn't be together unless breeding or they will fight. Even females together don't always work.
I guess just watch for agression and be prepared to separate
