WHat is a bubble nest? I know that mine is making one but what are they?

They make the bubble nests because that's where they put their eggs for protection.

It's when the fish blow bubbles up into a nest, and after breeding they place the fry into the nest. Male fish make them, even if there are no fry. It's a good way to tell if a fish is male or not.

Problem is, not all males will make a bubble nest without a female. To tell them apart you can also look at the colouring. Just letting you know he places the eggs in the nest and when the fry are free swimming he tries to put them in the nest but he can't keep up with all of them :)
