Circulation pump

In getting a new pump in today and have never used one. Any suggestions on placement?

We will need more information about your system and what type of pump. Generally a power head is placed inside the tank pointed up a little to move the surface for better oxygen exchange.

Regular 30 gal. Yes it's a nano. I have fake plants and a penguin 200 filter. A blubber in the back
