crayfish need their claws for eating

Just wanted to say that. Many gave ethical reasons for why claws shouldn't be wired shut but noone mentioned that the crayfish could starve without those pincers. He uses them to get all his food, not just live fish.

Just wanted to make sure that was pointed out.
 
I agree... i think that kid was idiotic even to mention cutting the claws off. And HELLO the lobsters at the store aren't fed, they are fixing to be eaten, which is why they wire their claws shut.
If you are going to keep a pet crayfish, they need their claws, if your worried about the fish, don't get the crayfish, even I know (ive never kept a crayfish) that crayfish need to be kept alone and will try to catch any other fish in with them.. which is why the LFS has feeder guppys in with theirs.
