I feed as much in my community tank as the kids can eat in three minutes or so. Works to keep everyone happy, healthy, active, and colorful--except the platies which are OBESE (colorful and generally active, but occasionally need to rest--swimming around hauling all that blubber is a lot of work.) How do I feed them less and keep everyone else at the right level?

26 gallon
3 platies
5 glowfish tetras
5 neon tetras
3 false Julii cories

Feed once a day. Flakes 3 days, frozen bloodworms one day, peas one day. fast one day. Cories get an algae tablet once a week and they polish it off as if it were chocolate.

cut the flakes down to one day, and feed them 3-4 days out of the week. i feed my cichlids two to three times a week, and my community tanks 4 times a week. the only fish i feed daily, are my bettas with the exception of one day of fasting. what kind of flakes are you feeding?
