Heater Recommendations

What heater would you recomment for an 80 gallon tank?

I'm a fan of the Aqueon Pro heaters myself.

I like Jager and ViaAqua for in tank heaters. I use Hydor inline heaters with canisters.

Are Atmans good? I only remember those from my LFS

Just stay away from Fluval E series. Don't get me wrong they are good heaters but they are ultra picky about where they need to be placed in the water flow.

Also try and stay away from any intank heater that is not FULLY submersible. These are marked on the heater with a MAX water line. If the package does not say "fully submersible" it works its best right on the shelf it lives on. IMO.

Yup. I've got a bunch of these in my tanks. Got fabulous deals on all on eBay. Checked prices at my lfs and walked out of the store trying not to let them see me lol'g.

I would also stay far far away from anything that can shatter.
