My sister has a tank of Danio and a lot of algae; so our LPS sold her a chinese algae eater

I have heard some....not so nice things about them and I wanted to know:

Are they really tank safe?

They do get big, but a person I know has some and they are awesome at eating algae. How big is her tank?

10 gallons; I really wished she waited till I came home because I told her it might not be a good idea

Oh boy... Can you still take it back? Do they have a guarantee? It will get to about 1 foot long.

Ach I knew it x.x Sadly they refused to take back a aggressive Gourami I purchased a while back so I had to adopt him out..... They do not take returns unless the fis dies in 24 hours of purchase

Oh... Well try to rehome it if possible. If you have a Petco near you, they will take any unwanted fish and put them in a display tank, and sell them for free to anyone who wants it.
