Well if it starts melting in your tank I don't know if it would effect the other plants so much as possibly affecting water quality with this being a nano tank. If you do have to remove it put at least its roots in water. I tried to pull some of mine out and the sudden change killed it. Once it's been submerged it's hard to get it readjusted I've found
