I recently added four Pygmy Corys to my 20 gallon tank. I just read that they do better in tanks with sand bottoms as they are able to eat easier and not damage their mouth areas. I have a gravel bottom. Should I be worried? Any advice would be appreciated.

Most people would recommend sand. I have seen some people keep them with small gravel in videos (might want to try looking some videos up on youtube) and their barbs seemed fine. I think sand would probably the safer and less risky of all substrate. could you share a picture of your substrate and maybe a pic of your fish on it as well?
