I got two connected 6 foot racks torn down today. Our new systems may have to go against that wall (will need to measure to be sure). Pics of the teardown in progress:

These are the two connected racks that are no longer there.

So the now hated DAS system is here. Don't get me wrong, its a great system. It just thoroughly kicked my tail today. At least 7 cuts from the plastic runners, a sore back, and still soaked. Oh yeah, it rained on us the entire time. Hard. Tomorrow is cleaning, plumbing, and set up. For now, its Millertime.

What a day... here are some pics.

Here's what the outside wall looked like after I tore down a whole rack the other day.

And here's what it looked like after we made room for the new systems on the opposite wall. *sigh*

The driveway still looks like this. I can only imagine what the neighbors think.

Thank you, it is a Sweetwater Aquatics S-11 regenerative blower.

That should be pretty cool. Have you thought about stock yet?

I'll be honest... no. lol.

I think we would like to make one of the DAS systems a hard water (possibly African Rift Lake cichlid) system. This takes some doing, as our tap water is much better suited to soft water fish. If we go this route, we will use aragonite substrate and African Rift Lake cichlid buffers.

The rest of the fish room remains to be seen. :)

I've kept discus a couple of times. They are great fish, but really nice discus will require more care than I'm able to provide while running an entire fishroom. If I happen to change my mind... I know a guy... lol.

Lol it's always good to know people! I wish I could keep some.

Shell dwellers is something to consider :))

And we are running! 3 out of 4 tanks, anyway. We broke a bulkhead while we were moving the tanks. The tank on the top left won't be running until we get the new parts.
