Ok...so I saw one ( actually 6) in Portland last night and thought " that would be cool " although I know I can't have any small fish in the tank with it unless they want to be food.

I do have a 30 gal, heavily planted tank, with one fairly large betta in it.

I'm just wondering if anyone has one of these and what else (if anything) is kept in the tank with it since I cannot find much out about compatibility.

Just from what I've read... It's a predatory fish and should only be kept with similar size and aggression, fish. Cicclids maybe???

I found that it was predatory too and after talking with the one guy at the store who's been there forever he said it was best as a solitary fish.

It eats by causing a vacuum with it's mouth. He put a feeder in the tank and it was like something out of a sci-fi movie !!

Even though they're really neat I'm not well enough funded to set up a single species tank.
