I all ready have 6 cherry barbs in a 10 gallon tank. 3 male and 3 female. I don't have plants yet but I"m going to get a few when I go get some more fish.

I want to get 6 neon tetras to add to the tank. Will the cherry barbs pick on them?

I don't know about the neons, but when I had cherry barbs a year ago they were very peaceful when I kept them in a group of three, (this was with a male betta fish too and platies and other fish) but when I added two more, they all became the gang of the tank and picked on the betta :( That's just my experience though

You are already full with the Cherry Barbs. Actually I wouldn't even keep Cherries in the tank because they get pretty big (right at 2" and females are pretty big around).

Stick with the Cherries and maybe add in a Honey Gourami for centerpiece. Then you're definitely full.
