Taking my betta to my friend's house

I'm leaving for vacation tomorrow and I have a betta who hates not having attention so much that he shreds his fins. I'm going to be gone until Friday and my whole family is going so nobody will be there to talk to him. I'm taking his 5g and all his supplies to my friend's house, they have had fish before so they know the basics but I'm gonna separate his food into a day and night pill calendar so he doesn't get accidentally over feed or feed twice. I'm gonna do a 100% WC and leave it empty and just transport him in his cup when I get there I'll fill it and acclimate him. Does that sound like a good plan? Any tips?

Sounds good just make sure to make the ride to their house fast and smooth. Reduce all stress too. Other wise there shouldn't be any issues.
