Uv filter

They kill stuff in the water column, bad guys and such.

The bad guys would be free-floating bacteria, fungi, Parasites, and many other microscopic Pathogens. If you keep up with weekly water changes, then you won't need a uvsterilizer. SW people are known to use uv because they go longer without water changes.

The canister filter I am looking at buyin comes with one thanks for the info
