Feeding

I have 2 clownfish, 1 dottyback , a skunk shrimp and a clean up crew. I was told to feed 2 times a day. I feed pellets in the a.m and frozen food in p.m I was wondering if this is to much. I have a 18 gallon all in one tank. I checked my phosphates with my api test kit and is at .5 ppm. I have had my tank set up for 6 weeks now. I have noticed more alge on the glass lately. It is brown.

I only feed me fish every other day frozen mysis. I know people(company recommendations) usually say twice a day but that's a lot of food and a lot of fish poop especially for a smaller tank

Those are diatoms. Your tank is just going through the same growing pains that every other tank goes through. The diatoms will wear themselves out shortly.
