how many fish?

i've heard the 1 inch per 5 gal rule before. this is based on full grown size, right? how long does it take fish to get that size?

It seems like most tanks listed here are WAY overstocked based on this rule. I have a 54g corner bowfront, and that means only 11" of fish.

at a minimum I was hoping to do something like :
2 clowns
1 goby/blenny
1 firefish
3 chromis

but at full size, this is twice the rule! What is this rule based on? Territorial fighting? Overall bioload?

i would go for it

i am " overstocked"

just make sure u have a good filter and you wil be fine
