QT tank?

Going to set up a QT tank soon for my new 75 gallon, if I only buy one fish at a time and quarantine them one at a time will a 5 gallon be okay? I don't have room for another 10 or 20 gallon and I have a 5 gallon with everything just layin around

5 gallons is not big enough..

That fish has to be in there for a few weeks, a 5 gallon wont be ok

20g with a 15g water line is the way to go; otherwise, you'll limit yourself to very small livestock, have to be more diligent medicating, and prob perform almost 100% water changes daily in tanks under 20g.

+1 I use a 20 gal. tote, with a 5 gal tank you'll be doing PWC's every other day and stressing all but the smallest fish
