Just got fish to start with, which fish will work with these?

The 55 gallon at the school I'm redoing is officially cycled. I bought 4 black skirt tetras for it today. Now my question is, when the time comes which fish would mesh well with the black skirt tetras?

Four more black skirt tetras. Barbs, other tetras, rainbowfish, dwarf cichlids, cory cats, small species of plecos. Many choice.

I heard the black skirt tetras were fin nippers so was worried about which fish to get with it. I really want to get a pleco, even if they do grow big in the long run.
