Stocking a 40 Gallon tank?

I I have a 40 gal with no fish. Any stocking ideas? I'll get Platys and tetras for sure but how much? I also want some other fish in the tank too. Any suggestions would be great!

How many fish total? And can't angel fish be aggresive?

think its 1 inch of fish per gallon, angels can be agressive, mine are laying eggs as we speek, but really dont bother my other fish to much, which are much faster than them anyway.
