How do I get rid of it I've been doing treatments with algaefix but it seems to have no effect

Treating it with chemicals only addresses the issue for a short amount of time. Cyano comes from nutrient rich water. That means you should feed less and use ro/di water for water changes and top off. Siphon out the cyano when you do your water changes as well.
