whats on my tang??

hi i have a new tang in my tank. he has been mine for about two weeks. i have just noticed a large white spot on his rite cheek. what is it?? good shots are between .52 and .56 in video. also a pic of him

I can't tell from the video. Does it look like it's a growth or does it look more like an abrasion?

could it be a scratch from swimming in and out of the rocks?

ok i did notice thea the tang is rubbing up on the rocks... but why?? is he ichy? and how do i help him??

If it doesn't look like a growth then its probably a scratch. My blue tang had the same thing when i first got it. They try to make a burro/home in the rocks by rubbing themselves against it. The white mark went away about a week after he stopped making his home, just make sure the water is clean so it doesn't get infected.
Edit: Yea its normal nothing out of the ordinary like i said they try making homes in the rock just let him be and make sure the water is clean so it can heal when he is done.
