Fin & Tail Rot

What's the best treatment for Fin & tail rot? I have two fish out of 9 (African Cichlids) that are dealing with this...

I do not know if it works for freshwater but I have had good sucess with melafix with my saltwater tank.

I've used Melafix with mild cases of fin rot with my FW angels with great success. Do keep in mind tho, its for mild cases; if your guys have it bad you may want to consider stronger medication.
