Weird Mark on Platy

This photo shows my platy and her reflection off the tank. This red area is raised and looks like a pimple...

I only noticed it last night as I was turning off the lights, but I didn't notice it at dinner time. I added a dose of Melafix to the tank last night. This morning the bump is not any different, and she is swimming and acting normal. I was wondering if I should move her to tank by herself and if there is anything thing else I should do. Does anyone know what it is? Thanks guys!!!!

Looks like a bacterial infection. You need a treatment that is active against bacteria such as Aeromonas spp. Daily salt dips with a solution of 15 - 25 grammes per litre for up to 15 minutes may also help.
