Hitchhiker; white vine with white and red nodes

I got a new frag about 2 was ago and it has developed a long threadlike vine with nodes that appear to be starting to open up. Anyone know what this is? Will it strangle my coral?

I'm not sure what it is, but you should be able to pull it off with a pair of tweezers. Is it bothering the zoas now?

I can't tell if it's bothering the coral or not. They took a while to open up but the last few days more and more of them are opening, even around the node things. I don't want to pull it off if it's harmless because it's kind of interesting to watch it grow, however if it's harmful I want to take care of it.

I had those kind of vines with the white bell like things never knew the name , it has a nice look to it but it is very evasive and will choke out coral , I always called it hell's bells as once it attaches it is almost impossible to remove ,
